General Information

  • Identification Cards

    All students are required to have identification cards with them at ALL times. You are expected to show your ID card when requested by any school personnel. It is especially important for you to carry them because of the modular schedules in the alternative programs. These may be acquired in the campus office. They are color coded according to the day and program you are in, so make sure you have the correct card. If you lose your I.D. card or need a replacement, there will be a $5.00 charge.

  • DRESS CODE

    It is a student and parent responsibility for selecting appropriate school clothing. The following is a guide to help choose correct attire. Violation of the dress code may result in the student being sent home.

    1. Clothing should be clean and in good condition and shoes must be worn at all times while on campus.
    2. Hats are not allowed to be worn in the classroom. Only official Fernando R. Ledesma High School hats can be worn on campus.
    3. No lewd, profane, gang-oriented clothing or clothing that exhibits prejudice regarding, racial, ethnic, or religious groups will be allowed.
    4. No clothing that advertises illegal controlled substances, alcohol, or tobacco will be allowed.
    5. Clothing normally identified as undergarments is not to be worn as an outer garment.
  • LEAVE IT AT HOME

    Phones, Ipods, and skateboards are a disturbance and can be a hazard. Phones and Ipods need to be stored away during school hours and skateboards need to be turned into the front office before class. Skateboards can be picked up after school. Phones and Ipods may be confiscated if out during class hours.

  • TELEPHONE

    You are not allowed to use the telephones in the classrooms. The office phone may be used only in an emergency.

  • SCHOOLWIDE LEARNER OUTCOMES FOR FERNANDO R. LEDESMA HIGH SCHOOL 

    Upon graduation from Fernando R. Ledesma High School, students will be:

    Students will be able to demonstrate social-emotional awareness and incorporate positive methods in addressing real-life situations.

  • Mission Statement

    Fernando R. Ledesma High School's mission is to provide at-promise students with a personalized education in a safe, caring, environment that focuses on state and district instructional standards, enabling students to develop into successful, productive, and socially-emotionally balanced citizens.

  • SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER

    A police officer from the El Monte Police Department is assigned to Fernando R. Ledesma High School campus to help students with any police or law-related issues. In addition, the resource officer aids the staff by giving presentations in classrooms and to parents on various topics including: traffic laws, drug abuse, first aid and CPR, etc. He also assists the administration with supervision and attendance problems. He is available on campus four days a week and is a great resource and asset to the school.
